Universities can be considered as marketplaces of ideas and are responsible for the discovery of many innovative drugs. The major challenge with university inventions is to find them in order to be able to commercialize them. Because Universities in the majority of cases do not have the resources to take products through their clinical and regulatory phases, partnering with companies to further develop the product often occurs in early stages of development (preclinical – phase I).

PharmaPlus is experienced in all the phases of the commercialization process of University inventions. We have set up a unique process to identify University inventions with commercial potential, which has extensively been validated under a grant from the Dutch ministry of Economic Affairs. As experienced dealmakers we have developed a format to analyze the commercial potential of University patent portfolios. Complemented with our experience in deal negotiations, we can lead you through every step of the commercialization process, independent of the stage of the process you are at. PharmaPlus can either manage the commercialization process directly or coach the business development executives at one or more steps of the commercialization process.
